Curious about astrology? Wondering how “archetypes” could affect your personality? Many people know about the Myers Briggs Test, but did you know it was based on Jungian archetypes? (Introvert/Extrovert/ Feeling/Thinking, et al) How might it be relevant today? Get answers and have some fun as we deconstruct the ancient archetypes of the Zodiac, with a nod to Carl Jung (who did a chart for each one of his patients). Bring your curiosity and your birth date and we’ll explore the symbolic language of the Zodiac. Take a free Myers Briggs test here. The $10 class fee is donated to support the work of Simply Living.
If you are skeptical or just curious you are welcome to read An Introduction to Archetypal Astrology by Richard Tarnas, a cultural historian known for his books The Passion of the Western Mind: Understanding the Ideas That Have Shaped Our World View and Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View. Tarnas (pictured below) is the founding director of the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness (PCC) graduate program at the California Institute of Integral Studies , and is a colleague of Brian Swimme (many SL members are familiar with his work on the New Story of Evolution).
The class will take place on Zoom for 90 minutes and the class is limited to 10 people so that everyone will have time to share and participate. The $10 fee is donated to support the work of Simply Living.
